samplesloops.com The TB-303 is THE sound of acid and techno house music It sa monophonic analog bass synthesizer married to a pattern-based step sequencer released in 1982. It features a single analog oscillator with two waveforms (ramp or square) and has a simple but excellent VCF filter with resonance, cut-off, and envelope controls. There are also knobs to adjust tuning, envelope decay, tempo and accent amount. How does it work? Well, it s not a performance synthesizer because you have to program a pattern of notes and timing info into it (sort of like a drum machine). Patterns can then be linked into songs. It was originally made to accompany a drum machine, the TR-606 specifically, and provide bass-line accompaniment to guitarists, keyboard players, etc. It was not a successful product in its time. As a result, creative DJs and aspiring electronic musicians found them for next to no money and began using them for techno and acid music. Pathum Wan or Pathumwan is one of the 50 districts ( Khet ) of Bangkok, Thailand. The district is bounded by six other districts ( from north clockwise ) Ratchathewi (across the canal Khlong Saen Saeb), Watthana, Khlong Toei, Sathon, Bang Rak, Pom Prap Sattru Phai ( across the canal Khlong Phadung Krung Kasem ), and Dusit. SINGAPORE: A key focus of the new Healthcare 2020 Masterplan is to make healthcare affordable for all Singaporeans. For one, the health ministry will provide better MediShield coverage to help the elderly and vulnerable groups with their medical bills. And the government will more than double its overall spending on Intermediate and Long Term Care (ILTC), by 2016. The income criteria to qualify for help in ILTC sector will also be simplified - with relief extended to the sandwiched class. Health Minister Gan Kim Yong said MediShield premiums are expected to rise soon. He added that payouts under MediShield have been rising. Between 2008 and 2011, the Medishield scheme paid out 21 per cent more in claims each year, while premiums grew by only 10 per cent each year. The last increase in premiums was in 2008. To keep MediShield sustainable and support the extension of benefits, a 45-year-old may now see a premium increase of S$7 a month while the younger age groups will see a s! maller rise. An older policyholder aged 75 could see an increase of S$20 a month. To offset these increases, a one-time Medisave top-up of S$400, or S$33 per month was announced in the recent Budget for all Singaporean policyholders to help cushion the impact of the premium adjustment. And older policyholders beyond the re-employment age of 65 will also receive Medisave top-ups under the GST voucher scheme of up to S$37.50 per month which can offset the premium increases in full. But after looking it up, I have to say, this game colours me intrigued. I'm a massive fan of the absurd but logical concept, putting very different elements together to create a very unique story and setting. And this game certainly nails it by mixing a classic film de noir plot with the concepts and theo! logy of the Mexican fiesta, the Day of the Dead. Tim Schafer really knows how to make interesting games. And like I said, this game uses elements of the Day of the Dead for its imagery and sometimes, its music. The indie band, who release new single 'Cold' this week told Gigwise that 'career-ist' bands can only inspire bands to follow suit and shun individuality. "There's load of terrible music at the moment. What bothers me is stuff like The Vaccines and You Me At Six - really safe, really clean-cut bands that seem very career-ist to me and its a decision to be what they are," said Steven Ansell of the band. "The thing that bothers me about that is that both those bands are pretty successful, so that's going to inspire other people to do that, to follow a trend and just do something that's very manageable and very middle of the road, because it looks appealing and it succeeds. "People will follow those trends and that sucks, people should be encouraged to do something more individual and bands should do different stuff and do more different things and be more themselves - and les! s careerist - and then we'll have a more interesting scope of music out there." The band also lay responsibilty on record labels for signing 'safe' bands instead of seeking more alternative sounds. Check out the snippet of the interview below.
